Welcome. My chance to say that, while no longer a newbie, _I_ find that there is a great deal of : low-class editing of replies here (which is one way of making it hard to read the traffic); and misuse of the list to make arguments that should be made, more coherently, in other WP places. So if you find it somewhat baffliing, you're not alone. Somewhere in the noise there _is_ information about WP trends.
