I only relaised today that my IP address has been blocked, it says the IP is 62.254.32.19. and it was blocked by RickK, but when I looked at the block list, then at this IP's contributions, I had done none of them at all, but they were all to do with things in my country.
My username is Escobar600ie and I have only made positive contributions, I am not a vandal.
Check the contributions by both, you will see they are diferent.

62.254.32.19 = belf-cache-3.server.ntli.net - an NTL proxy server, used by tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people. (NTL is a huge cable provider in the UK.) It's currently unblocked.
The netblock is 62.254.32.0-62.254.63.255. It is currently listed on the Special:Blockip page as NTL range, block only for shortest time required.

Sorry, I somehow clicked send before I could finish the message. In plain English that means, someone else with the same Internet Service Provider got this IP adress during one of their wikipedia visits. It probably wasn't you, but we still had to block the IP in order to stop this person from committing vandalism.
We're sorry for the inconvenience it caused you but we can't do anything about the collateral damage such a block causes. Please be patient and continue your good contributions.

NTL is a big cable ISP in the UK. Each proxy serves tens or hundreds of thousands of people. Anon editors all look like the same IP. Therefore, when blocking in that range, make the block really short, so as to help avoid collateral damage. Also good if you keep your Wikipedia email working for notices of collateral damage.
