Our favorite troll is raising Cain as User:Mediator.
What does that mean Cain ?
For example, he was critical of one user's language skills and suggested that they
refrain >from editing the
English Wikipedia.
Just like RK then ?
No, not just like RK. RK was telling me I had no room on the en wiki, because I was unable to understand what I was told. So, I should go away and limit myself to edit the french wiki.
This mediator suggested to someone to edit the simple.english.
Another wiki that needs help to develop.
But, again, two weight, two measures, right ?
Louis, you are heavy and you have an interpretation of other people words I do not agree with. Believe in good faith

In the fourth chapter of the Book of Genesis, Cain was the first son of Adam and Eve. He was banned from the Garden of Eden by God because he killed his brother, Abel.
The expression "Raising Cain," meaning literally to bring Cain back from the dead, is a metaphor for making trouble and dissent.

Sorry to be anything other than a source of light for you, Anthere. I know there was some value in what User:Mediator was doing, but I found hir words to lack sincerity in a number of places, the "simple English" recommendation being only one of them. After all, it takes greater skill with langauge to limit vocabulary than it does to write in flowery metaphorical prose. And I truly believe that the only goal of User:Mediator was to disrupt.
I did read through the entirety of your contribution at User_talk:Mediator. There is much value in what you say about conflict resolution generally, and I hope your ideas will work their way into whatever mechanism does indeed come about.
Best regards
Louis

What does that "Louis Kyu Won Ryu" mean, and what other username/s are you currently using/have used?

I would be happy to address this and other related questions about my identity and background on my talk page. I suggest we take the discussion there for the time being.
Then we can return the discussion here if you conclude there is some sort of problem.

"to raise Cain" = "to make a disagreeable disturbance; to create trouble, uproar, or confusion" -- OED
"Cain" (or "the devil" or "hell" in the similar phrases, mutatis mutandis) is the trouble or uproar that's being raised by the person in question. If somebody raises Cain, that implies (to me) that there's a lot of shouting going on as a result of what they said.
But, again, two weight, two measures, right ?
Yes; RK was a respected contributor (by many people), so he was given a lot of leniency for a long time. People are saying that the contents of the posts are not the point; but they are relevant de facto, even if not de jure.
Still, the bottom line is that Jimbo has been convinced by IP logs that Mediator is the mutliply banned user EofT aka 142 (maybe aka 24); and I'm sure that /this/ not-very-well-respected-at-all user would have been banned, once discovered, whatever he'd written. In the end, the content of Mediator's edits under /that/ name served only to rouse suspicion in the first place.
