The mobile gmail client makes it impossible to do anything except top post. You can't trim either.
The mail client built into the RIM blackberry isn't much better.
(and yes, sometimes I use gmail mobile client, .. you can tell.. it's the posts where I top post and dont trim)

Ah, that's the Gmail lo-fi interface? You can still open a full edit box, just *don't* hit "quick reply".

No I'm referring to the native java client for mobile phones. It only offers the lofi interface.
