"Sysop" is shorter and snazzier. :)

"administrator" is a more accurate term, and more official to judge [[Wikipedia:Administrators]]. But "sysop" is more cool, especially in my favourite phrase "secret sysop superpowers" (which hasn't caught on '_`).
