We is really Jimbo and the Wikimedia Foundation, plus anybody who happens to agree with their call on a major issue. E.g., that NPOV is non-negotiable. Or that we're building an encyclopedia rather than anything else. Although I'd hope that "we" would include the bulk of the current community, for the purposes of this thought experiment, it might not.
Of course, that's the opportunity for other "we"s to crystallize. Just like Conservapedia or Citizendium. And there's nothing wrong with that.
