Ingredients:
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp nitroglycerine
Method:
Mix dry ingredients well. Beat egg and fold into dry mix. Throw nitroglycerin at the mix as hard as you can.
Don't be silly. The _really characteristic_ Wikipedia recipe would be:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp POOP!
Method:
Mix dry ingredients well. Beat egg and fold into dry mix. Stir in the POOP!
POOP isn't a dry ingredient? Yuck!

Whether it was or not would spark an edit war of truly WP:LAME proportions, spanning 3 talk pages, 2 spells of protection, and a partridge in an RfC -- until someone noticed, 147 revisions later, that it wasn't in the original recipe.
