Something suddenly spring to my mind...
What do you mean all wikimedia wikis ? When was it decided that the english arbitration committee would decide who is allowed to edit or not to edit on another language wikipedia ? How do you plan to tell other languages of your decisions ? How do you plan to inforce us to obey the english committee decisions ? What does happen if say...Lir was writing french, and french people decided to ban him...would you all accept that naturally our decision to ban him is necessarily a decision that all wikipedias immediately have to respect ? What about local rights ?
Of course, you may argue that the committee was chosen by Jimbo, and that as such, it takes decisions over all wikipedias...but then...why would only the english have this right ? And again, how do you plan to communicate (I saw no communication on the matter) and to inforce this decision of you ?
Wik has announced on his Talk page (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Wik&oldid=2408864) that he plans on reverting all of Anthony DiPierro's edits on sight. Considering that Anthony is not a blocked user, this is unacceptable behavior, and should result in Wik being banned. I intend to revert and page protect every page Wik does this on.

Clearly we overstepped our bounds... We will be careful to not issue such sweeping judgments in the future. As to publishing this decision on all Wikipedias... Please tell us if he makes trouble over in France.

Who ? Lir ? :-) No. Mr Natural Health ? Not that I am aware.
I wonder if we might not say that such decisions cover all wikimedia project of similar language for example. Usually, the contributors are more or less the same, and it would be losing time to judge the case again with the same parties, just because it is over another project I suppose.
thanks for the removal

This probably shouldn't have been there. Since this was our first case, and decided before our rules were even in place, it was done in a somewhat ad-hoc fashion.
I'll propose to the arbitration committee that we amend the decision to remove that clause.

Anthere is right. The arbitration/mediation committees are an experiment in en: land, not globally. I would anticipate that at some point, each language will elect it's won arbitration/mediation committees. Until then, the existing practice (which varies to a degree according to local custom there) will be fine.
