Intrinsic and irreversible traits being the subject of persecution, when seen as a general observation on how this dynamic plays in inter-editorial interactions, is obviously subject to degrees of ... shall we say, dedicated fanaticism and corresponding expressions of hate. Focus; context. The irony, though, is that in some cases it is *that* clear, and this *was* such a case (i.e. the author of and targets mentioned on The Hit-List, its announcement, its tone and overtone, etc.) Bottom line: there was overt behaviour. Appearences aside, it is, at the very least, overlysimplistic and superficial to title the reaction to the Hit-List as "jovial." Who is trolling whom is not so elusive.

I (and others Im sure) greatly appreciate the focus of your last reply.
Again, it was a close call, and I'm rather agreeable to the thought that a short-term block was justified at least to talk it over. But again, making a troll feel singled out is to make a troll feel loved. And the two camps seem to fall into either into anti-Nazism or else a basic understanding of established procedures in accordance with our founding principles. Those holding the former have based their arguments in some degree of pov and worse --all of which are easy enough to link to some relativistic switch. (mutatis mutandis)
Without wanting to appear crass or sarcastic, "intrinsic and irreversible traits" seems like it needs policy writeup, according to how you see it applying to action --perhaps you can accommodate us. Ive myself been the target of various forms of "dedicated fanaticism and corresponding expressions of hate," and again, merely whacking one particular mole is a failing strategy, wheras following the formal and open resolution process is far less unsuccessful.
