No we need to find something better than cafepress, figure out the IP issues with XKCD then maybe start selling stickers.

IP issues? You mean with Ta bu shi da yu, creator of {{fact}}? I suppose we could put the GFDL on the back in Flyspeck 3.

I've posted a request for such a sticker up at Meta:

We'll see if anything comes of it.

Satire is an acceptable fair use purpose.
That specific XKCD comic is under CC-SA and is uploaded on Commons at: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Webcomic_xkcd_-_Wikipedian_protester... "All the xkcd webcomics are under the CC-NC-BY-2.5 license — which is not considered to be a free license on Wikimedia Commons. However, the author, Randall Munroe (en:User:Xkcd), released this specific image under CC-BY-2.5 so that it can be used on Wikipedia. " If that's what anyone is talking about.. -- Ned Scott

That assuming the words "citation needed" are even copyrightable, which I doubt. Very short phrases are exempt from copyright, by my understanding.

In any case, the "Citation needed" thing comes from us. The idea of someone in a crowd holding up that sign comes from XKCD, it seems, but the wording is from us. However, ideas are not copyrightable, only expressions are.
But you're probably right; 'citation needed' is too short to copyright. Not to trademark, of course.
