This is why, although process is *useful*, it should not be regarded as *important* in itself. The aims are *important*.
(That doesn't mean the ends justify the means; it does mean the means need more justification than just happening to be there and are liable to change as needed, rather than as can't be absolutely resisted.)

My solution normally is to ignore stop energy unless it has stop authority.
