And to Fred, yes I believe the article has factual basis because I've been involved in the research. Rice is and has been in Tibet for a long time. This was a very very quirky story that has reached an almost legendary status in Tibet. I'm going to work in getting pictures of the Yopu statue and form a separate site about the on going research.
1. If what you say is true, then you can resolve the issue very easily by showing us the journal article which you claim to know of. You can send it to me privately (in Chinese is fine) if you don't want to send it publically. At the moment I am putting my money on the journal article not existing.
2. The anon 24.243.117.61 who worked on the article wrote in VfD: "I laughed, but then I thought (deeply) what if it's true man, what if it's all true, I've never been to Tibet, but what if it's all true, THAT is all I'm saying, what if it's all true." If you or your collaborator is not sure the story is true, why should we be?
3. Since you were not editing any other article and the veracity of it was in dispute, I believe that banning you at that time was incorrect, especially because it prevented you from defending the article in VfD. If you want back in, see item 1.
Zero.
