Regardless of my (unpopular) views on the "notability" guideline this template does use clearer and less marginalizing language than the aforementioned "importance or significance of a real person" mumbo-jumbo [1] which provoked the legal threat.
I'd say the template is a bit less likely to offend people but that doesn't mean I'm likely to use it. Granted the "notability concerns" of a given article generally fail to twist my knickers as long as the facts check out.[2]
What I'd really like people to do right now is spot-check various templates and MW pages (plus the source code of twinkle or huggle or scroogle or whatever go-fast apparatii they use these days).
If you see any multiple choice responses which are worded poorly or ambiguously enough to make the blood boil and the phones ring in the same stray click, get rid of it.
