I have saved a few user pages on Wikinfo. The usual boilerplate I put at the top of the page is "This is the user page of a Wikipedia editor who does not edit on Wikinfo" Certain user pages are of interest to Wikinfo readers and have been imported, notably those of Jimbo Wales and Larry Sanger and a few others. Most Wikipedia user pages are of little interest except to someone who is actively editing on Wikipedia and there is no reason to import them by saving them although it is possible to read them from Wikinfo as indeed it is from any location on the internet.

Hey folks, I am just a contributor on Wikinfo and don't speak for Wikinfo in any way but want to point out something.
Some Wikipedia folk have gotten the impression that Wikinfo has "stolen" the Wikipedia user pages.
This is not true. Wikinfo has a feature that allows importation of Wikipedia pages that Wikipedia provides via XML export.
When Wikipedia users go over there to look for their user page they are presented with what Wikipedia exports. Its not actually in the database at Wikinfo, its just presented for them in their browser so they can save it IF THEY WANT. Some Wikipedia users seem to be seeing this and thinking that Wikinfo has "stolen" it. They then edit the page (usually blanking it) which saves a user page under their name where none had existed before.
Wikinfo ONLY imports what Wikipedia exports and Wikipedia exports user pages.
I am mentioning this to lessen the confusion and maybe lessen any mistaken hard feelings. Thanks for listening.
