I have wanted this for some time--its our encyclopedia that needs to be notable. I've never yet come across something I actually need Google in order to find. It seems right that our internal work be public, in the sense of being findable within wikipedia, but to have our detailed deliberations part of the main public record is a little absurd. Having our user pages searchable puts us on a level with , or below, facebook. They at least let people have public and non public content.

Blocking ALL non-mainspace Risker is still great overkill to simply blocking ANI, isn't it. All the specific examples are very very tiny, compared to what's being proposed.

I see very few non-mainspace areas where there is an absence of the use of
real names and the lack of content that could be problematic for the person whose name is used. The closest are policies, but even the talk pages of policies see unnecessarily negative references to real people. Perhaps you could identify parts of the non-mainspace that you feel are free of such references?
