A full blown arbitration could do that. Especially if the earlier steps are bypassed. Mediation should work to find a common ground for agreement.

Let's cut to the quick. When Berlet proposed circumventing WP:DR ("I
freely confess I have a vested interest in this...")
http://mail.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikien-l/2005-November/032066.html
and you acknowledged the wisdom of circumventing official WP:Dispute Resolution policy, "I agree with this."

I well understood how WP:DR was being sacrificed to Foundation issues and the threat of defamation suits, etc. I never pressed this aspect in my defense publicly. I continued the assume good faith in your judgement, actions and opinions, as I do now. The record shows I never participated in any of the recusal requests.
Clearly there are problems with the Dispute Resolution policy, which my experience could be helpful for others in the future. But to continue to scapegoat me -- a user with no reputation for personal attacks prior to ArbCom (I don't think anyone ever even accused me of it) -- only darkens some of the shadowy perceptions out there about Wikipedia's internal processes. I believe in fact, my interactions with other users, prior to ArbCom, was almost a model of civility, focusing on the article and not personal bullshit & biases. And this can be verified.
I send this to you privately because I understand some of the difficult positions you were placed in. All I ask for now is fairness and reconsideration.
Thank you.

Mediation was interrupted in this case; and I never ceased AGF with the Committee. I discovered Arbitration doesn't exist to right perceived wrongs, rather to protect the interests of the Foundation.
