The other issue is that on DRV, individuals are simply saying "This is over. 'We' have decided." Who is 'we' and why are they empowered to supercede decisions or views by any others?

The appropriate venue is dispute resolution. DRV cannot override a deletion made on the basis of Biographies of living persons. At least that is my position, until corrected by the rest of the Arbitration Committee.
