I e-mailed Mr. Wales to enquire what his plans were more precisely so that I could have a better ability to plan an event. That was about a week ago. Needless to say, I haven't heard in response.
Just as a hint for the future. If you email me something directly from a mailing list and retain "WikiEN-l" in the title, then it gets filtered into my mailing list inbox, which I scan frequently, but I do not end up reading everything there, and things could be overlooked.
