Certainly, lots of album articles are simply inserted by fans of the band, and many of them are weak to the point of inanity, but everything you ask about including albums in the Wikipedia is being addressed even as we speak by a WikiProject on record albums. See [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums]] for formatting standards and discussion and [[Wikipedia_talk::WikiProject Albums]] for a list of albums that should be covered. The project is thoughtful and careful. I believe [[Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band]] was one of its first articles, or was at least a model the project looked at.
