A user 'GRUNT' who seems to be able to ban users has banned me after correcting the aforementioned subjects, subject entry for SUBGENIUS.
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Grunt "Despite his strong political views he strives to stay neutral in disputes and in material submitted to Wikipedia."
I am a founder of SubGenius Networks™ SubGenius Networks is a trademark of SubGenius Networks.™ As grunt seems to have an issue with my correction; i left him the following message.
"We're not defining 'SubGenius Networks' nor 'The Church of the SubGenius'. SUBGENIUS ALONE is the subject of this post and SUBGENIUS has a meaning apart from 'The Church of the SubGenius'. SUBGENIUS is a public domain word in use as part of 'SubGenius Networks™' own trademark."
SUBGENIUS ALONE, as it is defined.. has two meanings.
--------- BEGIN CORRECT DATA --------- 1. A denizen of the underground "subculture", attuned to the obscure.<br> 2. Basis of the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_the_Subgenius Church of the Subgenius].
SUBGENIUS is part of the trademark SubGenius Networks™ ( [http://www.subgenius.net subgenius.net]) in addition to the title of a "religion". ( [http://www.subgenius.com subgenius.com]).
--------- END CORRECT DATA ---------
SUBGENIUS itself is not a registered trademark. The term is in fact PUBLIC DOMAIN and was adopted by SubGenius Networks™ in 1996. A trademark application was filed in 2000 by the 'church of the subgenius' to which we are objecting on prior rights use to the single word.
Wikipedia's redirect from SubGenius/Subgenius to 'the church of the subgenius' is in error.
