Since you are banned, the list of articles can be used to see if anyone is editting on your behalf, and can be used as evidence of attempts to circumvent the arbcom. Not that that has been done, but it is a possible valid use for such a list.

I think you're confusing two things: an open watchlist, and what would
be a
deprecated use of it, namely following someone around the site.
I think you're also confusing the right of appeal to this list for unblocking, which often enough gets a sympathetic response, with
bringing up
grievances in a way that is not going to win any friends.
