All jokes aside, I will concede that the "notability" guideline does make sense when taken at face value as practical advice for addressing potentially complex issues of Verifiability, Neutral Point of View, No Original Research, etc. (which ARE core policies) rather than as a fuzzy set of rules that can (selectively and subjectively) be construed to justify just about anything[2].
