Yes, interesting. It is good to see the hypertext aspect of WP get proper analysis - I have felt for a long time that the per-article style of discussion is tone deaf to some of the more important features of the encyclopedia. And my intuition is now that much of the basic organisation of the site runs on units of size 1% or smaller (no one can really master chunks that are much larger, and in fact 1% is now quite large for a WikiProject scope). The methodology suggested could validate this kind of commentary. Further, there seems to be a foundational debate about the category system that doesn't get much attention, and what it says suggests one could second-guess the categories we have, at least working from the root.
