I think that it is a clear abuse of admin powers, and it is hard to see any evidence of good faith on jtdirls's part. I'd like to see him explain his actions, admit his errors and apologise to those he has wronged.

Now, while I believe from what I know that jtdirls "got it wrong", he is also a human being and therefore falliable, so I see no reason to pursue this further.
I'd like to see jtdirl accept that he has made a mistake. If you look at his comments on this matter, you can see that he considers that he has done the right thing and he sneaks in a bit more personal abuse. A lot more, actually. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AAdministrators%27_noti...
We're all fallible, and I'm happy to admit that I'm far from perfect in that regard, but I think that having an admin who blatantly abuses his powers and doesn't accept that he has done anything wrong is a bit much to swallow.
Pwqn was unblocked by another admin, that's all that matters. Proof the admin system works, and works well.
He was promptly blocked again for creating a sockpuppet account to evade the wrongful block. Two wrongs don't make a right.
If jtdirls starts blocking left right and centre then open an RfC on him, but until then, move on.
Two points.
1. How do I open an RfC? 2. Jimbo asked for people to present cases of admin abuse with links and diffs. I've done that.
