I hope someone's reported him to the police for this criminal offense. Under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, deliberately making an unauthorized modification to computer data which impairing the reliability of the data can land you up to five years in jail (well, theoretically, at least - in practice he'd probably get off with a caution!)
I've mentioned it to Mike Godwin, he doesn't think there's much we can do (although I was talking more about that, apparently false, claim that we didn't fix it for a week). I'm not sure he's familiar with the Computer Misuse Act 1990, but I'm pretty sure no-one has been successfully prosecuted for vandalising a wiki so far. That kind of vandalism doesn't really impair the reliability of the data, since it's not something anyone would interpret as factual data - it's clearly someone's opinion.
