Also, if you're using gmail (not sure about other clients), when you
send an email to the list, you won't see it in your inbox until someone responds to it (though there may be a way to change this in preferences). A good way of finding out if your mail has been sent is to check the archives: http://mail.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikien-l/
