The blocking of open proxies would only be violating your privacy if we were also forcing you to edit. You can choose not to.
OK, I understand that you want to prevent abuse from open proxies when the use is not logged in, but WHY BLOCK LOGGED IN USERS who use the Tor network
We currently have no method of blocking only unregistered users or only logged in users. If a registered user is blocked, it blocks their name and IP. If an unregistered user is blocked, their IP and any names they attempt to create during the blocking period will be blocked.
