SPUI is right about the autoblocker. By the way, MediaWiki isn't a program. It's a script. Or, I should say, a set of scripts. PHP is also a super easy language to learn, but the multi-language stuff in MediaWiki makes it harder then most stuff. Maybe i can patch it.

It has its use in preventing someone blocked from simply logging out, but it's horribly broken and the devs seem to not care. And before anyone tells me to submit code for it, send me the appropriate material to learn to program and wait a few years.
It's not broken at all. It blocks for a further 24hrs as a reminder not to try to circumvent blocks.
And how does someone know they're blocked before they try to edit and the autoblocker kicks in? Duh. _______________________________________________ WikiEN-l mailing list WikiEN-l@Wikipedia.org To unsubscribe from this mailing list, visit: http://mail.wikipedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikien-l
