,,,honestly, Anthony, I'm getting the impression that you are repeatedly finding ''all'' sorts of things about the Wikipedia that: (1) Don't Work At All ™ and are (2) Broken By Design ® and need ''''radical''' fixing as well as a wide ranging discussion of basic principles.
Would that be wide of the mark?
In defense of Anthony, since I was snippy with him on the list once this week, and I need to make up for that, your assessment is *correct*, but it's just a matter of personal style. Anthony likes to talk in terms of radical fundamentals as if everything is up in the air. Most of the rest of us like to talk about fundamentals, but in a cautious and incremental fashion.
It's annoying, but if you keep in in mind, Anthony often has useful things to say, albeit usually phrased a bit melodramatically.
(I've been prone to melodrama myself at times, of course. I think you can find me bitching about VfD being "broken" once upon a time, although my view has softened considerably since then. VfD actually works pretty well most of the time, although of course it does seem to come to problematic conclusions *sometimes*.)
