Some people are in a reactionary mode, regarding a *few* issues, and wanting to change major systems, based on a few issues. That is not a productive stance.
Here's the point: these cases are not *few*, they're *common*; and they're not jokes, they're serious.
Wikipedia has an ethical obligation to protect its subjects from various forms of harm inflicted by malicious editors who exploit its "anybody can edit" approach.
