I did not expect Fred to like what I said, but I did not expect anyone to lose control about it.
I was suggesting that those who felt strongly on the matter might want to take it into account in selecting arbitrators. That's what elections are for. I don't see that as exactly a revolutionary thought. I think it's an orderly way to affect policy over the long term.
Frankly, i think my proposal is conciliatory. The way to decide whether to change and how fast to change and in what direction to change is not determined by calling names here.
I intended nothing personal. I said nothing insulting. I think some of Fred's views on BLP profoundly wrong. That is neither personal nor insulting. What was said in reply--well--I'll let other judge what they said.
I shudder to contemplate what Mr. Goodman wants for Wikipedia. If a pack of dogs fall on someone after he and his ilk are in control, I guess we will simply be obligated to stand by and do nothing.
a bunch of malcontents whose not always coherent ravings can be ignored by choosing not to visit their site. As a "pack of dogs", they rank right up there in threat with a litter of Pekinese pups.
My! You're a nasty bit of work, aren't you?
