Particularly on minor points, I want to emphasize that I have no problem with this. There should be significant leeway for different languages to have conventions and norms that differ in some ways from global conventions and norms, based on the desires of the contributors and the prevailing culture.
A few things are absolute and non-negotiable, though. NPOV for example.
And when guidelines are already established on en, because of your experience, it is probably important that the other versions learn from you, but perhaps make their own rules, according to local situation.
