I thought you could only PROD articles and abandoned user space
stuff.
I wouldn't have though a redirect would have qualified...
Prod anything, why not, anyone can remove it. If it's controversial. :)
Per [[WP:PROD]]:
only *articles* may be proposed for deletion. The only exceptions to this rule are pages in the User and User talk namespaces which may be proposed for deletion if the user has no recent edits and has made few or no contributions to the encyclopedia.
Of course, like anything on the wiki, that rule could be the subject of change after a discussion...
I've seen PRODed redirects in mainspace - I think that the point is "only PROD mainspace objects", not literally only articles themselves.
Admins tend to boldly speedily delete redirects rather than PROD them, but users should be able to PROD them.
