As Quiddity pointed out, we have this random featured article feature already. Question is, why is it not obvious? Does it need to made clearer that we already have this? To be fair, I was unaware of the toolserver ones. Is that something different, meaning we have *two* ways to access a random featured article? Are there differences?

What's the best namespace or place to make a proposal that en:wp have a "random *featured* article" button?
As anyone who uses the random article link knows it often turns up places of small geographical interest. We now have a pretty damn good library of featured content. I'd really enjoy being able to pop a random featured article, knowing I was about to see some of the best we have to offer.
The downside, of course, is that it could further clutter an already fairly busy interface; so perhaps this could be switched on in preferences? Or alternatively perhaps the feature could be made available from a button that only appears when you visit a certain page?
