So long as they remain only default guidelines, that's one thing - but many, I among them, have problems with the general applicability of WP:MUSIC, especially outside the genres of English-language popular music.
I remain extremely sceptical about how good an idea such things are, and about the advisability of extending such an idea any more widely.
They do, at least, provide a way of defending the notability of an article, and thus overriding the "nn never heard of them" opinions. I like such mechanical rules better if they are interpreted as "any subject that meets these guidelines can be considered automatically notable" rather than "If a subject fails these tests it's automatically Not Notable". The latter permits no special cases.
