I can't do much without the exact IP addresses and times.. is there some way I can get this without bothering sysops?

I'm sure it's not necessary for me to say this, but PLEASE do not harass or complain directly to (someone). There's always the possibility that he doesn't know anything about this, and so I've approached him first.
I will say that in his first (hostile) letter to me, he did not deny it, but instead said some angry things about wikipedia people harassing him. That's why I'm asking for a followup confirmation on the more recent incident.
