Does an ARC count as a reliable source? I have one for the latest Bujold sitting on my table right now, and I know that if I didn't and somebody just splurged the plot details without warning me, I would be very cross indeed.
This of course raises the question of context: there's a whole difference between revealing the plot twist of a book on the article for the book itself and doing the same on the article for the author: the former is entirely expectable and avoidable: the latter is just plain rude.
We need to find a balance between being helpful and informative and being just plain rude.
