He hasn't left. He experienced the usual project-space induced brain
implosion and resigned from the Arbitration Committee. The other
fourteen victims are still struggling with the straining straps but I
think we have them well under control.

11) While not explicitly stated on Wikipedia:User page, it is implict
there that users should refrain from creating user pages likely to bring
the project into disrepute. The pedophile userbox (and the like) falls
into this category. Note that this should not be construed to bar
reasonable criticism of the project.

We have gone from a "live and let live" culture to one of political
correctness, where anything that could "bring the project into
disrepute" is a bad thing. This just leaves me totally speechless, to
the point where I'm considering making my user page more and more
"disreputable" until I am blocked.
It seems that convicted mass murderer Shoko Asahara is in the headlines (see
examples at http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=asahara ). Looking up
the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoko_Asahara I was somewhat
annoyed to see that it reads rather hagiographical. Lots of talk about
Asahara's achievements as a religious teacher, but very little criticism.
The article in its present form is not likely to generate much public
admiration for the quality of our work.
My apologies for bothering the list with this, as the matter should normally
be referred to peer review et al.; however I thought it might be a little
urgent. I am afraid I won't be able to help myself, as I know next to
nothing about the person and the relevant sources are likely to be in
Japanese.

The userbox war seems to have claimed a tragic casualty in Mackensen
who has blanked his user and user talk pages and resigned from the
ArbCom. I hope his decision can be reversed.

As a concerned human being, I would like to see if we can help to locate
this user ASAP and get them some help if at all possible (and assuming
they haven't acted already).
The Reference Desk didn't exactly cover itself in glory there, but
that's a second-order issue.

[[Template:Polemical userboxes]] may or may not be a candidate for T1
(I suspect that technicaly it is but the trouble caused by deleting it
would be kinda not good). However it was listed on TFD. Fair enough
considering some of the things that have turned up on AfD over the
years it isn't the most extream.
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Templates_for_deletion/…
[[User:MarkSweep]] then deleted the nomination. A bit of a streach of
[[Wikipedia:Speedy keep]] but nothing particularly extream. Certianly
no more extream than applying T1 to [[Template:Polemical userboxes]]
(no don't worry I'm not going to).
[[User:MarkSweep]] then proceeds to block [[User:CFIF]] (the
nominator) for 48 hours.
[[User:CFIF]] has 2269 edits with 1604 in the article namespace

Hii all ,
We have developed a web mapping application . And would like to integrate it with MediaWiki - software which runs Wikipedia . Our mapping application uses MapServer,Php/Mapscript , as the scripting language and MySql as the database. Our application accepts user clicks on the image provided by us .And points are plotted .We have developed a Php file to accomplish this. Could anybody tell us how to interface our application with Mediawiki so as to contribute to Mediawiki and Wikipedia. Any help would be appreciated . Will our php file be interfaced as a Special Page / Extension - HELP ?
