Hi,
as I have already informed you a few weeks ago there will be a MediaWiki Developer Workshop in April in Berlin.
The last time I have already prepared the planning page http://openzim.org/MediaWiki_Developer_Meet-Up_2010 but there was no reaction neither on my mail nor on the planning page.
Registration for the MediaWiki Developer Meeting is open until March 21st and there are only 50 places available - so we need to decide now.
I await your answer whether we should go there and who is willing to come until Sunday.
/Manuel

Wikimedia Germany invites all MediaWiki developers, Toolserver users, Gadget hackers, and other people interested in the technical side of Wikimedia projects to come to the Developers' Workshop in Berlin on April 14.-16. We have a very nice venue and a cool option for accommodation, details to be announced soon.
Registration is now open at http://www.amiando.com/WMCON10DEV.html. Registration is *required* and will be open until March 21., but there are only 50 places available. So, sign up soon!

I am landing in Tegel April 14th, so I will technically be able to participate in meetings before the Chapters meeting. I hope to be able to discuss the issues still keeping us from adopting Zim and Kiwix for our One Computer Per Child project with the Hebrew Wikipedia.
We are also thinking of *funding* some work by Emmanuel/Tommi as needed, to expedite solutions to these issues.

Hi Asaf,
I am looking forward to meet you in Berlin.
Next week I will try to book my vacation at the office and hope that my bosses approve it.
Concerning your issues I recommend that you name them here on this list, as Emmanuel is unable to be in Berlin and I don't know yet about Tommi. It's a pity that we are so far away from each other so you couldn't attend our developer meeting. We had a very productive meeting in November where we made a lot of changes to the format, making it more compatible with broader variety of usage scenarios (internal skinning, optimisation for small devices, splitting URL from titles etc.).
If you have any suggestions for what openZIM should prepare for this meeting in Berlin please put your notes here: http://openzim.org/MediaWiki_Developer_Meet-Up_2010
Thanks,
Manuel
