in the (semantic) map exmaples the openlayers map doesn't work

Apparently the source of default layer is experiencing problems or has been changed or something. In any case, this was only a demo layer anyway, the others still work.

and the openstreetmap loads a google map! ?

The openstreetmap service is no longer part of the Maps extension, but you can obtain OSM tiles using OpenLayers.
