Hi,
I finished developing and enabled localisation support for OpenLayers on translatewiki.net so anyone interested can translate it in to their language. We aim to make the first export of translations in a fortnight.

We are doing some active development of the extension, and have a new iteration of the extension ready in a couple weeks. So it might be best to wait a few weeks on translating the slippy map extension.
Though, it appears to me that you are interested in translating OpenLayers itself (in addition to the extension). I think that would be very helpful.

That is correct, we haven't the infrastructure to handle extensions in separate subversion repositories yet and I was informed it is still under active development.
