Hi all
The deadline for submitting talks for Wikimania as tomorrow, April 15.
http://wikimania2009.wikimedia.org/wiki/Call_for_Participation
I think it would be great to hear about OSM integration there, a lot of people
are interested in that. I am submitting a panel session for the toolserver, so a
short presentation could be part of that, but I think OSM deserves a full
presentation.
Any takers? Or is there something planned already?
I might be going. After the Wikimania hacking days Brion sent me this:

So Wikimania is (at least informally) interested in getting someone to
SOTM and Wikimania to discuss this stuff. To that end I'm submitting a
"Presentation (10–30 minute talks with discussion afterwards)" to
Wikimania 2009. The goal of that presentation would be to present the
work we're going to be doing up to Wikimania as coordinated &
discussed on this list.
Aude will be there too as I understand it and was IIRC interested in
doing some sort of presenting there too.
I've submitted a stub submission for a "Single Presentation" on the
"Casual track":
= Title and Abstract
Title OpenStreetMap integration into Wikimedia projects
= Abstract
This talk will present the (as of April 2009) ongoing work to
integrate OpenStreetMap maps into Wikimedia projects, see the relevant
Wikimedia Techblog posting

By Wikimania 2009 this project should be at a much more mature stage,
possibly being deployed on Wikimedia production servers already.
