Hi
I'm planning to ask for a toolserver accout on Cassini. I've got some ideas on making the translation more easy.
But before I do so, i'd like to ask, which Script Interpreters are currently available for Web-apps: php, Perl, Python? None of them is mentioned at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SlippyMap/Cassini/Setup_notes

Could we get php up and running on cassini? At least on the command-line, even better as apache2-module.
Julian Picht wrote at [1] on how to do this.

At this time, with a toolserver-account on cassini, it's not possible to connect to the locate database from perl (using DBI) nor from python (using pg) nor there is php.
It would be very cool to get one of these running, so I (and other toolserver-developer) may start working with the data on cassini.
Maybe I should open a ticket in Jira about this topic or post it to toolserver-l? I'm still unsure who's responsible for what..
