Hi all,
I went through and added templates to all of the projects listed at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communication_Projects_Group/Projects (I think).
I went through and divided them into two groups - one that had someone "assigned", and one group without any assigned CPG member.
From what I can tell, a few projects overlap, and I'm not sure on the
current status of some of these projects. If you know something about any of these projects, feel free to update the template directly or drop me a note and I'll update the project.
Side note to Greeves: I had to roll back your addition of DPL's, either the template isn't all up to snuff or somthing I did causes most of the projects to be not listed. Once that is fixed, we'll switch the DPL back on.
Thanks, Gerald.
*hugs*
I am going to move those without PMs to pending and those with PMs to open. Let's keep each other up to date.
Thanks,
Sean

Okay, none of them have PMs that I can see, so moving all to pending.
For the expired one, the instructions will point you to the archive where I am putting it :)

I think we should also consider adding CPG priorities to projects, so both members and PMs know what is important and what isn't.
A few of the projects seem to be duplicates, or at least closely related offshoots.
Also, I'm thinking projects should all live in the "project" sub-namespace, but there are a few that are just hanging off "CPG". Are these older initiatives which are just going to be grandfathered, or should we consider moving the few not under projects to the "new" spot?
Thanks, Gerald.

Bring this up at the next meeting, not here. :-)

Do you have specific examples right there? (I can't look them up right now.)
Thanks, Gerald.

I'll add it to the agenda, and hopefully make the meeting. :)

Two quick ones:
- Communication Projects Group/Projects/Wikimania Press Coveragehttp://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communication_Projects_Group/Projects/Wikimania_Press_Coverage - Communication Projects Group/Podcasthttp://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communication_Projects_Group/Podcast
No order, they were just adjacent in the list as it is on the page.
I think there are about 6 listed projects that aren't under the "Projects/" page directly, but simply hanging off of the CPG page. For consistency and clarity, I think it would be better if they all had the "Projects/" prefix.
Thanks, Gerald.

Two quick ones:
- Communication Projects Group/Projects/Wikimania Press
Coveragehttp://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communication_Projects_Group/Projects/Wikimania_Press_Coverage
This can be moved, it was a pretty quick thing that Sandy was worling on and I don't see her objecting to it being moved.
- Communication Projects
Group/Podcasthttp://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communication_Projects_Group/Podcast
This can probably be moved too, it's from quite a bit ago.

Most are probably aceptable for being moved, but some might not be ;-)
Thanks, Gerald.

Yes. Let's get them all moved; this makes a lot more sense. They are our projects, so put them in that space. Or, of course, we could move them all out, but I think this would be less clear.

I think it's quite fine to discuss things here in between meetings. Certain discussion topics often work better on IRC, others on mailing lists :-)
I think this idea could be useful but we do have deadlines, and also the announcements of the project will generally make it clear. However, we could always add it as an option.
You always say that we should talk about this stuff at meetings.......
