Hello all,
I will not be available for this week's meeting due to being at my
Grandparents. Would someone like to lead/chair the meeting in my
stead? I will give you my best gavel!
Also, please note that the meeting remains GMT despite some of us
moving timezones (I don't know if other countries have the hour change
at this time of year in the way the UK does, I expect they do at least
in Europe). So for those of us in Britain it is now an hour earlier,
at 8:30pm rather than 9:30pm. This will be easier for those in Europe,
not sure how it will affect others.
Let me know if you can lead on Wednesday.
Thanks,
Sean
Echoing Guillom on another list, spam is increasing on comproj and
help in getting rid of it would be appreciated, so it anyone willing
to help to moderate this mailing list? Contact me off-list if
interested.
Thanks,

Hello all,
I would like to take a moment to discuss the purpose of our meetings
before I let you know the arrangements for the next one. Now that we
have a proper system for running projects on meta, I think that
ComProj should tick along nicely completing projects set for us or
proposed. There are two classes of these: Foundation stuff that ComCom
and Sandy set (really we cannot begin these on our own although of
course there is always the opportunity to suggest things to Sandy for
her to then assign back to us!) and projects for the projects
(Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikinews etc.) which can be put forward by
anyone.
My hope is that the meetings, as well as reinforcing our team
mentality and group togetherness (and allowing new participants to
introduce themselves), will be primarily for discussing new projects
and seeing if we want to do them, perhaps led by me at the beginning,
and then for individual projects to ask for support or advice from the
group in the brainstorming manner than is IRC.
So on that note, please add agenda items with the above thoughts in
mind for this week's meeting at
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communication_Projects_Group/Meetings/2007-1…>.
Thanks,
Sean

Hi,
Trying to put a Wikiquote banner for the coming fundraising, I found
we had no Wikiquote banner.
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2007/web_buttons
Could anyone create "I love Wikiquote" banner(s) and the blank ones as
well as other sisters? Only Wikiquote and Wikispecies lack their own
banners currently ... and it somehow helps to increase our beloved
Wikiquote visibility not only its mother organization ...

I propose we hold a second meeting of ComProj, to take place Wednesdays
at 1300 (UTC). This equals 14:00 in London, 09:00 in New York, and
23:00 in Melbourne.
Thanks.

It's over now. It was yesterday (Wednesday). But tomorrow and all times
unless otherwise specified are normally in terms of UTC.

Hey guys, I finally cleaned up our project-space (
http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3APrefixindex&from=Comm…).
All the projects are listed under Communication Projects Group/Projects/, if
I missed one, please feel free to fix it! :-)
I have also added a Dynamic Page List to our main list of Projects <
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communication_Projects_Group/Projects>. This
allows all of the projects to be listed by their status. Many projects are
still listed as "status=unknown" on the {{ComProj project}} template, please
update the status of your project(s) so that we may get a better idea of
what's going on with all our projects. If you update the status on the
template, the main projects page will be updated to reflect this. (append
?action=purge to the URL if it does not refresh right away).
If I made any mistakes during this revamp, please don't hesitate to fix it
or drop me a line by e-mail or my talk page. :-)

Hi all,
the German Wikiversity has got their first buttons and micro buttons to
promote our project and our idea of free and open learning. The micro
buttons were uploaded to Commons, so every other Wikiversity can use them
immediately.
