Hi all,
I'd like to throw out when our next meeting should be, and also what sort of
things we should be discussing and doing.
I want this to be a brainstorming thread, rather then a thread about the
topic, if we can.
Things that we touched on at the meeting:
JA liaison project
Small Wikipedia Help
Wikimania
Improving inter-wiki communications
Is there anything anyone else thinks we should be doing?
Once we have a few projects, we'll have to gauge interest and set some
goals. I'm sure we can come up with some great ideas, and I'd like to try
and facilitate turning them into great actions.
I'll propose that we should have our next meeting in two weeks; I think that
would be July 9.
It gives us some time to work and discuss, and gives us a goal to work
towards.
Comments?
Thanks,
Gerald.
Hey all,
Just posted on the new Universal Edit button functionality to the Wikimedia Blog.
http://blog.wikimedia.org/2008/06/19/firefox-3-and-the-wiki-edit-button/
The developers are doing their best to publicize the extension. I've pinged out
to a few reporters. I think the broader angle is 'edit' as a browsing function
becoming as common as read/subscribe/respond. The other great angle is how much,
and how well (imho) wikis collaborate on tech development. And increasingly I
think we'll be able to gang a lot of resources and energy towards PR collaboration.
If you've got the extension and like it, blog about it! Let's get the word out to
more bloggers and media.

Hi all - I know there will be some overlap with ComCom. Who on this list is
heading to Wikimania?
Thanks

Since no one else signed up, nor added any agenda items and none of us
are really in the mood to do it today, we can cancel this meeting.
Gerald can add his item to the "meeting agenda two weeks hence". :-)
(I liked that line... :p)
