Hello,
When you say "meeting", do you mean on IRC? And if so, how (and I ask this
at the risk of sounding incredibly technologically challenged) do I go about
setting my computer up so that I can attend the meeting? I don't have too
much experience with IRC; I usually just use an IM client, like Pidgin, to
talk to people.
I am very interested in participating in this project. I had initially
joined months ago, but got swamped by schoolwork and misc college stuff and
did not have time to check back until this semester started. It was then
that I found that the ComProj page that I had been directed to work with
earlier had essentially disappeared and I wondered what was going on...
In terms of skills I have to offer, I can do copyediting, graphic design
work, or research. I also attend a state university with a student
population of about 45,000 and 13,500 faculty and staff; that might be
useful, if you want surveys conducted, etc. I'd be glad to help out in
anyway I can. I added myself to the membership page on ComProj, it has more
detailed info, if you are interested.

Rise to the challenge for Sport Relief with Yahoo! for Good
Hello all,
It would be nice to get this group going again; for us to meet with
Jay and talk about some of his (and your) ideas. I am sorry that I, as
chair, have allowed things to stagnate but let's start again this week
and see what we can come up with.
Thus I am suggesting a meeting at 2030UTC on Wednesday, and I hope as
many of you as possible can join us.
Thanks,
Sean
Hi all -
First let me apologize for (as far as I'm aware) never actually writing
to this list. It's been a hectic couple of months and the Foundation
staff have put a lot of focus into getting our new space in SF up to speed.
I look forward to lifting this group up again and discussing some of the
projects I'd like to bring to fruition, all of which could benefit from
your support, ideas, and enthusiasm.
I look forward to seeing the list active soon!
Thanks,

Subject: Partnerships FAQ: question about subscribing to content
Is there a way for me to subscribe to particular kinds of content out of
Wikipedia (e.g., articles about folk music, or articles about Canada), so
that my encyclopedia benefits automatically from the ongoing contributions
of Wikipedia contributors?
Cary, could you try to find someone to answer this question on the
partnerships FAQ? (I am assuming the answer is no, but I'm not sure.) No
rush, anytime :-)
Thanks,
Sue
