What sad news. I remember Edith so well. She had such a distinctive voice which I can
still hear. If I recall, she was also the organist for the Lutheran church in Round Top on
that old wooden pipe organ. Ronnie , her son and Liz, his wife, were also such an
important part of our lives at Winedale. Edith worked tirelessly in that kitchen at
Lauderdale House along with Angeline, providing such memorable meals which we shared at
the big table. I loved spending a little time watching them in the kitchen performing, as
Doc said, simple miracles. Lentil soup. Chicken in a Garden. We should all remain thankful
for the staff and everything they did, adding to the magic of our time at Winedale. My
prayers are with Ronnie and his family.

experience. Her obituary carried that message. I'm sure many of you
will remember Ronnie Klump, her son, who worked on the property
planting and mowing, and her grandson, Russell Klump, who performed in
several plays, CE, ADO, MV, with my son Jonathan. Lots of good
memories there.
