I entirely agree with you Jacques. However, when you claim that neutrality is not a universal concept, is purely an american concept, should not influence the way of writing in a french speaking website. And that lastly, the current NPOV might even be illegal in France... Sorry, but I find this a bit worrying. While there are rules which should absolutely be local, other principles should not. hi, Just this entry in order to present myself. I am Jacques Divol, and i acting on the French (speaking) part of the wikinews community as 'Divol' (yes it's my true name) I have also entries into fr.wikipedia and commons but because of news info needed. It's seem that I AM A BIT ALONE I am checking why French speaking people into fr.wikipedia are so AGAINST fr.wikinews. it's strange in my POV. jacques Divol (sorry my resume into fr.wikinews is just in french, normal ...! :) i am 40 2 kids and a wife 15 years of Computer Scientist (Mastere Diploma in the new European rules) jacques

Registration for Wikimania started

Hi all, Registration for Wikimania, the first international Wikimedia conference is now possible on http://wikimania.wikimedia.org We'd like to invite all participants of the wikimedia projects to join this big event in summer 2005. Wikimania will take place from 4th to 8th august 2005 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The event will combine Wikimedia community discussions and software hacking with academic research, presentations of current implementations, and user/community panels. Wiki fans, community members, and developers are all invited to attend. We are also encouraging presentation and content submissions for the conference; for more information, see the call for papers (http://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/Call_for_papers).
