You have been approved as a chapter. When you also have the local organization in place (Board elected by an AGM etc) you will be an operative Chapter and the following is applicable for you

CHAPTER AGREEMENT,; TRADEMARK USE; FUNDRAISING, GRANTS
After becoming approved by the Board and you being operative, the next step would be to sign a Chapter agreement to regulate basics. Unfortunately this agreement is still in a discussion phase so no agreement exists today to be signed.
Basically what will be regulated i that the Chapters are not allowed to use the Trademark for business purposes or to make explicit business deals based on you utilizing the strength of the Wikipedia name etc. You are allowed to use the Trademark to identify yourself. For further discussion re the use of the trademark, please contact Mike Goodwin at the Foundation, mgodwin@wikimedia.org. For proper business proposals you shoulkd discuss these with Kul kwadhwa@wikimedia.org.
As a chapter you can be part of the general fundraising efforts, usually starting in November. It can be tough get this in place in a short time and it could be proposed you follow this issue on the maillist first. If you want to discuss it, the contact otherwise is Rand rmontoya@wikimedia.org
As you are probably aware of there is an opportunity for chapter to apply for grants for projects, with a focus on helping new chapter to get going, see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_chapters/WMF_grants (closed for 2009-2010 now)
